Sunshine Coast Getaway...
We decided very quickly that we wanted to go away together for a weekend before baby arrives. We had searched for flights and travel deals to Sydney & Melbourne but in the end decided not to fly. So, in a 'last minute' kind of way we booked a resort up the Sunny Coast at Caloundra on Golden Beach. This is about an hour and a half drive. We packed & left on Friday evening after work. Once we had arrived and checked into our room it was about 9pm and what better to do after a long day than to take a spa bath :) It was very soothing for my sore back.
The following day we were up bright and early, had a wonderful buffet breakfast and went off to visit Australia Zoo - neither of us ever having been there before - it was great! We really enjoyed the show they put on in the Crocoseum and also the large bird aviary was a favourite. I fell in love with the piglets at the kiddy Zoo, I think they would make a cute pet :) You can view a video of a crocodile feeding here: http://www.facebook.com/thoozer#!/video/video.php?v=10150401411870410&comments
We went to a restaurant at King's beach for lunch and had barramundi, chips & salad - very tasty! Then back to the resort for a 3 hour long nap! .. a bit long, but I guess we were exhausted from spending 4 hours walking around at the Zoo. When we woke we went and sat in the outdoor spa for a while before dressing up to go out to dinner at a Thai restaurant just down the road. Food was good, except I've had better Tom yum soup elsewhere and I had a coughing fit when I breathed in some hot chilli broth. The baskin n robbins ice cream afterward helped :)

It really was a much needed trip and we're glad we went. Only 2 months to go til baby changes our lives forever! :)

A job, a car & a birthday or three...
Well, the title says it all. This week has been a good week for us, minus Marshall having the flu.
Marshall started his first Aussie job! In a huge pharmaceutical company called Alphapharm.. hopefully I have the details right :S... he will be doing quality control - he can explain better than I :) But it sounds cooler than sittin at home all day every day! :) We're thrilled about it, it was long awaited & it's going to be strange but welcomed to have the second income :) woohoo!!
We bought a car! It is such a nice feeling to be able to go anywhere and do anything at any time we want.. I guess that is the feeling of independence! :) Now to get a baby carseat installed.
Anna & Nanna shared a birthday on the 8th and I had my 24th birthday on the 10th! It was a full on weekend and we all had a wonderful time. I'm glad there are no more birthdays til September! :) September will be full on with 3 birthday's (Eb, Lauren & Marshall's 30th!), our 3rd wedding anniversary on the 20th, spent TOGETHER for the very FIRST time! and my baby shower on the 24th. Phew...
Only 3 months left til baby Hoozer arrives :) she has been soooo active, kicking and rolling around all the time. Hopefully with Marshall's new job we can get into our own place and settled before baby comes... we'll see :)

We are so blessed to have such wonderful, gorgeous sisters and an incredible, beautiful, thoughtful, AMAZING Mother. Look what they surprised us with last night when we thought we were just coming over for family night. They are amazing...

Today's the day...
We find out the gender of our little baby :) We are SO excited!
I felt so happy this morning as I was on the bus thinking about how truly blessed we are. Not only do I have a wonderful husband who has washed countless dishes, made me bacon & eggs over and over for breakfast, rubbed my feet and showered me with hugs and kisses... but we have had so many acts of kindness & thoughtfulness shown toward us in the past few months.
My amazing mother from the moment we told her I was pregnant has given us lots of little baby gifts, she is SO excited to be a grandmother :) She happily drove me half an hour to pick up the cot & change table I bought on gumtree, took me to the quilting shop & to see my dress maker (we don't have a car). We have gone over to my parent's house multiple times and each time we do there is a HUGE spread on the table ... delicious main course followed by always more than one dessert :) Dad said last night, "you always cook big meals when Marshall and Tahlia come over!" :) my sisters are always so happy to see us and play games with us.
My beautiful Aunty has been looking for bargains on baby items at garage sales and bought me this baby swing I had really really wanted. :) so thoughtful! she brought it over with a bunch of other goodies. Oh and she has already given me boxes of baby clothes! My dear friend Sonja gave me a baby bath and also calls me when she sees something I might like at a garage sale :) she has also given me lots of good advice, I'm so thankful for her.. and all the cuddles I get to have of her little 3 month old baby boy :) My very talented friend Bec is keen to find out the sex of our baby so she can start knitting some cute little baby items :)
We have been brought meals, invited to dinner, cooked for, shared meals with over and over... and they have always been right when we or I really need them :) We were even dropped some treats at our doorstep this morning from someone anonymous. how thoughtful! :)
I am grateful for these atcs of kindess and so much more... even just the little 'likes' and comments and messages on facebook :)
Time to find out if it's a son or a daughter... off we go!! :)
